Venues we’ve loved

Here are a handful of venues we’ve loved playing during the last year or so. We have had the pleasure of playing some of the most beautiful locations in Wales and the South West, for both weddings and functions, as well as parties, events and more.

Of course, not every venue is an official “venue” of sorts. We’ve played at everything from farms and back gardens to beaches and car parks, so as long as the power, covering and parking is available, we’re good to go.

However, here are some of our favourite “official” venues that are extremely popular – with ourselves and our crowds.

Rosedew Farm
Llantwit Major

Rosedew Farm is a beautiful, rustic wedding venue, situated in the stunning surroundings of Llantwit Major. A stone’s throw from the coast, and within 30 mins of both Cardiff and Bridgend. This venue is big enough to host our 8-piece band comfortably, with plenty of dancefloor room for at least 60-80 guests at one time.

Hensol Castle
Vale of Glamorgan

The Hensol estate is estimated to be around 600-700 years old. A Grade I listed building with a real sense of grandeur when playing here – no doubt one of the best wedding venues in South Wales. There is a huge function room with adequate spacing for a full band, it’s always a treat to go back and play here when we get the chance.

Peterstone Court
Brecon

A Grade II* listed house in the stunning Brecon Beacons. We’ve always had a warm welcome when playing at Peterstone Court. Perfect for weddings, as well as functions and a bonus for the summer months – there’s an outdoor pool.

Manorbier Castle
Tenby

Standing on the cliffs of the coast near Tenby, Manorbier Castle is one of the most picturesque buildings in West Wales. The castle still has some original structures in place from almost 1000 years ago. Much has been rebuilt over the last 300 years but still retains its history. The Pembrokeshire coast lies directly behind the castle, with an option to set up a marquee within the grounds.

Hilton Hotel
Cardiff

The Hilton Hotel, Cardiff is situated right in the city centre and a stone’s throw from Queen Street. It has a stunning function room, equipped with a stage and a capacity of up to around 300 guests. The sound in the Hilton’s function room is fantastic, with no reverberation or echo – perfect for a function band without a dedicated sound engineer.

Orchardleigh Estate
Frome

Without doubt, one of the nicest country estates we have ever had the pleasure of playing. Situated in Somerset, the grounds of Orchardleigh Estate have been occupied for over 800 years, hosting over 500 acres of land. It is a wonderful venue to play, with enough space for a full band with horns. Excellent lighting already built into the function room and easy access with a car park big enough for many vehicles.
