Yes, a deposit is required for all private functions. A £250.00 deposit confirms Disco Centric will be performing at your event.
As the name suggests, we specialise in disco music from 70’s-00’s.
However, we also play some motown, soul, pop and contemporary classics. Basically anything that’s a dancefloor filler, a huge singalong or an anthem by definition!
*Please note that we don’t play the “classic function tunes” like Mr Brightside, Don’t Stop Believing etc. Nothing wrong with this, but we aren’t that type of band.
We allow you to select choices from our list of songs and then leave it to us to pick the best setlist possible. That’s what professionals are for right?
You can use our song list selector to easily choose and send your choices within a few clicks.
Furthermore, each of our packages entitles you to choose 1 song (can be first dance) that isn’t on our setlist, and this can be absolutely anything (within reason)!
Remember that we offer a DJ playlist option where you are more than welcome to pick the entire list of tunes to played before and in between our sets.
We aim to arrive between 5:30-6:00pm for most shows. It takes around 60-90 minutes to set up fully and have a brief soundcheck to ensure everything is as it should be.
If you want us to arrive or set up earlier, there will be an additional charge. This depends on how many hours prior to the above that you will need us. Please mention this when contacting us.
We leave that up to you, depending on your plans around whatever else is happening. However, we do tend to start anywhere between 8:00pm and 9:30pm and finish by 11:00pm.
We have public liability insurance up to £10m. You can view our certificate by request.
For our 5-piece band, we like to perform on a stage or elevated platform of at least 5×4 metres. If you have less space than this, please get in touch to discuss possibilities.
When we play with horns, we’d ideally like an additional 2 metres to the above.
Two main power points (13 amp sockets) are required at a minimum for everything to work safely. We have never had trouble with any of our equipment, but that’s because we take great care in powering our gear safely and properly.
Yes, providing there is adequate covering in case of bad weather on the back and sides of wherever the setup would be. We still need close access to power, please don’t forget this!
As soon as possible is recommended as we have bookings up to 2 years in advance. To ensure you are not left disappointed, please be in touch with your event date and deposit to secure booking.
Having said that, we sometimes are able to take on gigs within 4 weeks if we have availability and everyone is good to go.
The simple answer is no, because we include a playlist service before and in between sets with a full band booking.
You are able to choose this list entirely or you can leave it up to us.
If you want the party to go on for hours after we’ve finished, we recommend that you do book a separate DJ. Just remember only do this if you know you will have the space for a band and a DJ booth!
We are based in Cardiff, South Wales so most bookings are in the Wales/South West region.
However, we are happy to travel anywhere within reason if you can cover our expenses.
We would kindly ask you to provide bottled mineral water at the very least.
As most gigging days are well over 12 hours for us, we also appreciate a small break with a meal/buffet option. If this is not possible, please let us know so we can make other arrangements.
If you regrettably decide to cancel a Disco Centric performance the following will apply:
The deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. The full fee is due payable if cancelled within 60 days of the event date. For more info on T’s and C’s, please contact us. T’s and C’s are viewed upon signing the booking contract, along with the deposit payment.
If you are cancelling due to a COVID-related situation, we can postpone your booking once and carry it over to a new date. If you need to cancel after again, please know that no refund in any circumstance will be due.
